Wooden plaque on wall in Willis Museum, Basingstoke.
The factory in Winchester Road made aircraft instruments,
and during the Second World War they made altimeters and compasses
for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
This factory later became Smiths Industries Aerospace.
The site was demolished in 1996 and became the Brighton Hill Retail Park.
